• Grammar tasks
• Aural comprehension

Also:

• Emphasis is placed on Grammar during grinds as it is challenging for some students.
• In addition, emphasis is placed on speaking the language.
• The classes are interactive classes, the aim of which is to encourage the students as well as to improve and promote the students' self-confidence in the language.
• Sample answers are given to the students.
• Pupils' communication and listening skills are promoted

Paper 1:

Essays/Debates/Speeches

Aural Comprehension

• The written skills and grammar needed to achieve a high mark in Irish are taught.
• In addition, listening skills are emphasized and vocabulary related to this exam is taught.

The Oral Examination: (40% of the marks)

• Irish is the main language of the class.
• The students are therefore encouraged to speak Irish during class.
• Conversation circles are often held to promote speaking skills.
• The students are given the opportunity to take a trial oral exam and are given comprehensive feedback and recommendations after the exam.

Paper 2:

Literature – Prose/Poetry/Additional Literature.

Reading Comprehensions

• Skills necessary to achieve a high mark in Prose, Poetry and Additional Literature are taught
• Reading comprehension is also practiced
• Sample answers are also given to the students
